Fishing the far margins on lake4 i found it much better to go around and bait up by hand, this was much better than sending bait out on the bait boat. Fish with tight lines or you will loose them in the rushes.

Keep rigs simple, this means simple 4-8 inch hooklinks with a size 6-8 hook, you dont have to cast to the horizon, infact most fish are taken from the margins, so dont be afraid to fish under your rod tips. fishing with the Korda style sticks as produced many fish for me, bait application is the most important tactic at Cretelakes. Find your spots with a marker rod, there are many features on all lakes, once you find spots that your happy with(stay on them), so many anglers move there baits when they see a big fortie crash out 30 yards from there hook bait! The fish are on the move all the time and will find your baited spots and when they do you will get wiped out. So after every take top your baited areas up. I would give an area at least 24 hours before i get my marker and look for new areas. A Kilo of boilie and pellet per rod seems to be the best tactic to start with but if your on the fish you could use much more.
Hope this helps Regards Les
